For several months of the year, the green, gentle peaks of the Nockberge mountains are transformed into white giants, with wide pistes carving their way down into the valley. Winter skiing starts early on the Turracher Höhe. The first lifts start as early as November, allowing skiers to enjoy cross-border skiing fun.

A handful of enjoyable descents, less crowding at the access points, hardly any queues and cheaper ski pass prices: Sometimes less is more: especially when you are just learning to ski or snowboard and the number of kilometres skied per day hardly matters. In addition to the Heidi Alm Skipark Falkert and the Hochrindl, the Goldeck sports mountain is also ideal terrain for skiers who are taking their first turns after a long break.
